Great Idea

Okay so I am already getting more creative with the elimination of tv!  It really is exhilarating.  This morning we (me and the kids) have already built and decorated televisions out of our old cereal boxes, been to the gym to workout and now we are playing at the library.  The homemade TVs are so cool.  They are complete with nobs and buttons etc and beautiful pictures on them.  We put slits in the tops of each so that every day that we live without our tv we are going to write (Kara herself and AJ with my help) one thing on an index card that we did that was more fun/better than watching tv and put it inside our home-made TV.  I figure at the end or the year (or if we have a particularly rough day and need to be reminded of why NO TV is better we can take the cards out and read them)  AJ and Kara now each have their own TV for in their room.  They LOVE them and are so PROUD of the work they did to manufacture these.  And the best part it also entertained them for more than an hour at 6 this morning!   Mird sorry to hear about your unfortunate mishap with the "treasure chest".  Who knows what I will find in my basement when I get there with my cleaning frenzy  ~Constantine Out

  3. I think I have seen these before. You can draw pictures on a long piece of paper (like the old printer paper you had to tear apart) and then wind it on a roll. Then you can make the picture move across the screen :-)
