Blizzard of 2011

I certainly hope the weathermen have this one right.  I have spent the entire day out and about getting ready for this blizzard.  I have been dragging all three kids along for the adventure as well which makes the day's work all the more impressive.  I have termed it an "adventure" in order to give it a more positive connotation, but I am not sure that it is working.  All of this work seems pretty awful.  It seems more like an undesireable chore list than an adventure.  We have been preparing to be snowed in for at least the next two days. If it doesn't snow much, I will be upset.  My planning and preparations will be wasted and it has not been an easy road today.  It is so much work to load and unload at each stop that my arms are tired and sore even though my work-out at the Aquatic Center was only a brisk three mile walk this morning.  Lifting and carrying my kids is a serious upper body workout. I suppose I should just be thankful for the arm workout, but at times it is just frustrating to always have to have the extra weight of three kids in tote.   Not having TV today is no challenge, we are too busy with our preparations.  Tomorrow will likely be a different story. Assuming the weathermen have cast an accurate forecast, it may be a long day without TV to entertain.  At least I have my imagination geared up and ready to go.
