My family and I are attempting to give up TV for the 2011 year to see how it will impact our lives.

The Constantine's first day without tv
Okay so having the time to blog may end up being an issue as I didnt get on here for the very first day of the challenge because we were too busy. Hopefully things will settle down now that the holidays are officially behind us and I will be able to get on here daily to log my success. SO far SO good as far as the challenge goes for us. I did tune into a bit of the spartans ugly showing at the Capital One Bowl since Jeff has his sports exemption. However, in less than five minutes I knew I didnt need to be witness to that poor excuse for a game. Man that was ugly, but I still cried green tears as I watched them take a brutal beating. GO GREEN!!!! I will always be a loyal fan even when you stink it up like that. The first day without tv was actually not very hard at all. I ran a race in the morning and won a 3rd place medal!!!! Great start to 2011!! We then spent the day cleaning house and playing games with the kids so it was fairly uneventful. I am sure the days ahead will not be filled with such smooth sailing as Kara has already asked about movie rentals only to learn that those were not allowed with our new tv rules either. Her initial response was a look of pure horror. She seemed somewhat more understanding when I explained we were going to spend out time doing other "fun things as a family" luckily she did not push for anymore details as I have not quite figured them out yet! Until next time have a great time! yours truly, V. Constantine
